How do I book online?
You can make a reservation with us directly in our Booking Engine.
Why do I need to provide my credit card details?
Because there's a pre-payment fee (of 2%). Also, after we receive the booking, we can make pre-authorizations on the credit cards to check if they are valid. If not, we will contact you and you have 24h to provide a new one, otherwise the booking can be canceled.
Are left-luggage facilities provided?
We don't have a storage room at the moment, thus we can't keep luggage at the check-in or check-out. We will be happy to suggest a nearby storage room,
Can I book the entire property?
Yes, it is possible to book the whole house just for you. Some properties are specifically to be rented as a whole unit (Boulevard Nook, Fisherman's House). Please check rates, availability and conditions by sending an email to email@example.com.
Do you allow children in your properties?
Children are welcome in all our properties. Please be aware that none of our properties is babyproof.
What is the "online check-in"? Do I have to do it?
The online check-in is a new feature that allows the guests to complete the check-in process on their mobile phone or computer, prior to arrival. You will be asked to fill the form with the guests' details and even do the payment. It is not mandatory, except in late check-in requests. However, it is great for us to be able to gather all the information beforehand, as it makes the check-in process faster.
Can I do an early check-in/late check-out?
Before 3 pm we don't have frontdesk staff working, just the housekeeping team making sure all the rooms and shared areas are perfect for your arrival. For this, we can't do early check-ins. The late check-outs must be requested one day before and are subject to availability.
Can I check-in after 10 pm?
Yes, but please ask previously. You will have to do the online check-in and pre-payment using the link we've sent you by email. As soon as this is done, we share the code for the safe lock and all the instructions.
How does the Housekeeping service works?
Our team cleans the shared areas on a daily basis, replacing/refilling toilet paper, soap, dishwasher, tea, coffee, and sugar. Towels and/or bedding are changed every 3 days, if requested by the guest. In longer stays, room cleaning is scheduled once in a week. Properties rented as a whole have different housekeeping conditions, arranged previously with the guest/group.
Do the properties have a curfew or a lockout time during the day?
No, there is no curfew. We close reception services at 10 pm so we advise the guests to make sure they have their keys with them. Usually there is no lockout time during the day but if it is necessary to do a deep clean, we will inform all guests to not use that specific area for some period of time.
What happens if I lose my key?
In case you lost your key, contact reception immediately so you can get a new one. There will be a charge up to 20€ to cover the expenses of getting a new key and locker.
What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, credit cards (Mastercard and Visa) and debit cards.
Do you have any discounts or special rates for groups?
Bookings with more than 10 persons, at certain times, can benefit from special rates. We advise groups to contact us directly in order to get the best option available to them.
Are there any discounts or special rates for bookings in general?
We can do special prices for long stayers (more than 28 days) and also, occasionally, discounts or last minute offers.
I am doing the Camino de Santiago, is there a special rate if I stay in one of the properties?
Yes,. If you have a credential and you booked directly with us, we offer you 15% discount in any of the properties, no matter which kind of room you choose.
Is Wifi/Internet available in the properties?
Yes, wifi is available throughout the properties, free of charge.
Do you have plug adaptors available?
Yes, just ask at reception and you may be asked to leave your ID as deposit.
Do you have laundry service?
We don't have this service at the moment. We will be happy to indicate you the nearest self service laundry.
How does the shared kitchen works? Do you have breakfast included?
Breakfast is not included. All guests can use the kitchen to prepare their own meals. We have cooking utensils and appliances for all.
Are there parking facilities?
None of the houses has a private parking lot, except for the Boulevard Nook flats (requested and subject to availability). At the guesthouse The Pocket Pillow, the street is free parking. At the Fisherman's house, the nearest parking lot is Largo de São Francisco (5 min walking - free parking).
Do you organize tours or activities in the city?
We don't organize it but we have several contacts for different types of activities and we are happy to help you book it!
How long can I stay in the properties?
We have a 15-night policy during the high season, which means that you may stay no longer than 15 nights between June and September. Low and mid season have no night policy, it depends on the guesthouses' or hostel's availability.
How does the airport pick up/drop off service works?
If you want to schedule a pick/drop off at the airport, let us know beforehand. Send us the following details: date, flight arrival/departure time and at what time do you want the driver to be at the door. We will check the availability and give you the confirmation as soon as possible. Payment is directly with the driver.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Except for the Fisherman's House, none of the other properties accept pets (yet!). Please make sure your pet has the vaccines and the internal/external deworming up to date.
Special discount for UAlg students?
If you are a UAlg student or a Erasmus student in Faro, ask the International Relations and Mobility Office (GRIM) for the promotional code to use a 15% discount in your direct booking with us!
What is the TMT?
TMT stands for Municipal Tourist Tax. This tax is applicable to all guests, regardless of nationality or residence, aged 13 years and over, per person, per night, up to a maximum of 7 night per stay. It costs 1,50€ per overnight per person. This tax must be paid with cash, during the check-in by guests who stay overnight between March and October every year.
